Will Mobility as a Service (MaaS) replace public transport? If not, what will the relationship be between them? What role should autonomous vehicles play in our cities? What effect will they have on pedestrians? How can we picture the use of drones in logistics? How should their use be regulated? How can passenger service be assured if we all use flexible mobility chains? What impact will this technical fragmentation have on passenger rights? These are some of the questions being addressed in the EU GECKO project.

The goal of GECKO is to support authorities in developing the most appropriate regulatory framework and governance models for the transition to a new era of sustainable, cooperative, inclusive, competitive and interconnected mobility across all modes.

To do this, the project is soliciting input from relevant stakeholder groups for occasional online and face-to-face input between spring 2019 and spring 2021.

Targeted stakeholder involvement will help understand the issues, challenges and perspectives involved and to make appropriate, informed policy and regulation recommendations.

GECKO is looking for stakeholders who are facing (or have experienced) the challenges of introducing or regulating innovative mobility solutions, representing:

• Policy makers and regulators who need to make decisions about where and how to allow/facilitate/support the implementation of new mobility solutions
• Innovative technology providers or those who are planning or who currently operate new mobility services
• Researchers, NGOs, consultants or other influencers with relevant experience or expertise
