The European Railway Award was initiated in 2007 and is jointly organised by the CER and UNIFE. This year, EPF has nominated ‘the passenger’ for the European Railway Award.
To fulfill the aims of the EU 2011 Transport White Paper, a modal shift is needed towards more environmentally friendly transport modes. In order to encourage and convince more people to use public transport, the passenger must be put first. Understanding the needs and aspirations of end users should be a central point of attention for all stakeholders within the transport industry.
