EPF’s Annual General Meeting took place at Luxembourg Airport on 5. April. MEP Tilly Metz (European Greens) was welcomed as a guest and current topics from European transport policy were discussed with her. The focus was on ticketing issues and the EU’s imminent focus on high-speed transport. The participants agreed with Mrs Metz that point-to-point transport cannot be considered in isolation, but that a comprehensive overall system of public transport is required.

In the elections to the Management Board, Walter Etty from the Dutch association Rover and Martin Schiefelbusch from the Berlin association IGEB were newly elected to the Board. Both have many years of experience in their associations, Walter has set up a mirror group for cross-border activities in his Rover association.

Katharina Krell from the German passenger organisation PRO BAHN and Willy Smeulders from the Belgian TTB were re-elected for a new term of three years. Michel Quidort from the French FNAUT remains President.
