You are planning your next international trip but you can’t seem to find which train(s) to take. Your train is slowing down and it seems you won’t be able to make the connection. You don’t know if the next stop is yours. What would you do? How could digital solutions help you overcome such problems and achieve a better overall travel experience?
Digitalisation brings exciting opportunities, and rail is no exception. But are we creating innovation that really serves the passengers? And how to ensure we are not creating extra barriers?
These are some of the questions that we will explore in a two hour online workshop on November 19. We will discuss the way IT solutions can change passengers’ travel experience (in all stages of the journey: planning, booking, ticketing, assistance and information during the trip) and how we can use digital tools as an ally to improve their satisfaction.
The workshop will explore the views of key stakeholders and experts, notably representatives of different passenger groups all over Europe, and it will be a privileged space to discuss openly about benefits, concerns and doubts on digital innovation for rail passengers. It is organised by EPF in the context of its work on Shift2Rail.
We look forward to having you join in the discussion!
